Nature’s Bridge
Lately, I’ve been taking a lot of walks. I go to parks, towns, cemeteries- really any place other than my own street.
Pittsburgh is great for many reasons, one being the wildly distinctive neighborhoods that it’s composed of, each one feels like a small part of its bigger whole. With Pittsburgh’s history of steel work and its famous bridges, I find there is a very unique aestetic of industry meeting nature, two otherwise separate entities coexisting in fascinating contrast.
With that in mind, I wanted to feature some of this contrast in this week’s post. I joined a few friends on one of these walks through some of Pittsburgh’s more notable parks and found inspiration in the cool steel bridges emerging from the lush green- the warm light peeking through thick brushes and trees, and the small notes and street art left behind for other people to discover when climbing so high above the ground in these impressive metal constructs.
I hope you enjoy these pictures! I’m quite happy with how they turned out!
Until next week.
